History of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center was established by Dr. William Hutchinson in fond memory of his brother, Fred.William's brother was a baseball player and manager, who died at age 45 suffering from lung cancer.Every year the Hutch Award is conferred to a leading league baseball player who reflects the combative and ambitious spirit of Fred Hutchinson.
Appointments at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
Arranging for an appointment at the center is very easy as a patient or a family member of the patient can make a call at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) Patient Intake Office. The representative will gather some preliminary information like name, current status, diagnosis and age. The information is reviewed by the Clinical Coordinator of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the caller is later contacted to discuss the case of the patient.For the past three decades, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has contributed immensely towards many medical researches that paved a new way for the treatment of cancer, HIV/AIDS, or other diseases.
