Seattle Colleges are prestigious institutes engaged in imparting higher education. Seattle Colleges are all under Seattle University. The University was founded in 1891, by the Society of Jesus as the School of the Immaculate Conception it was known as Jesuit Catholic University.

The Seattle Community Colleges deserve a special mention. They were set up with the motive of imparting education to the veterans and seniors who failed to complete their education. These colleges usually impart vocational and technical education to the students. The different community colleges in Seattle are North Seattle Community College, South Seattle Community College and Seattle Central Community College.
Around 7,500 students enrolled in Seattle Colleges are pursuing undergraduate and graduate programs. Colleges of Seattle has been bestowed the award of 'Best Colleges 2008'.
