Seattle Cinema came into prominence during the 1930s, when its first debut film ‘Tugboat Annie’ released in 1933. The American city Seattle has been celebrating good films over the decades through film festivals and other events. Many film makers across the globe flock to Seattle to make popular films. Another annual event is the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival held in October with different venues all over the city each year. This week long event is respected and loved by both
the American and international crowd. The films featured during this festival carry different themes related to special communities of the society. This festival is produced by the Three Dollar Bill Cinema. Venues like Egyptian Theater and Little Theater on Capitol Hill been home to this festival.

Seattle Films is a famous production company, which stresses on regional documentaries, experimental films and promotional videos. Ever since its foundation in 2006 by filmmaker B. J. Bullert, this production house have made outstanding films for the welfare of the society. Some of the popular films produced in Seattle are Bullets Blood and a Fistful of Cash, The Audience Strikes Back, Your Lights are out or Burning Badly, The Dead Feed, June and July, We Go Way Back and many others.

The two best cinema halls in Seattle are Egyptian Theater and Harvard Exit, located at the opposite ends of the Capitol Hill.
