Boeing Field in Seattle is commonly known by the name King County International Airport or KCIA. In the entire nation, Boeing Field Airport is one of the most used primary non-hub airports. The ideal location of Boeing Field being just 5 miles south of downtown Seattle in the Duwamish Corridor, have made it more accessible for passengers. Annually, more than 300,000 operations including takeoffs and landings take place in this airport. Encompassing 594 acres (2.4 km) of land, the airport is proximal to the downtown Seattle and several other commercial areas of the city.

King County International Airport is owned by King County and handled by the Aviation section of the King County Department of Transportation. It is one of the busiest general airports of USA with aircraft of various sizes and types operating for commercial and recreational purposes. Boeing Field started its operations in 1928 and served multiple functions. It is a municipal airport and a major air cargo center for the region's industries. More than 150 businesses, including air cargo groups, charter operations, flight schools and helicopter services have made Boeing Field their base.

Some more tenants include a number of aircraft owners who use private planes for business and other personal purposes. The history of Boeing Field is well documented in forms of aircrafts and models in the Museum of Flight situated at the airport's southwest corner.

Boeing Field is a two-runway airport. The runways are used mainly for general aviation and cargo services including few passenger services. The airport is named after William E. Boeing - the founder of the Boeing Company. Before World War II, Boeing Field was Seattle's prime passenger airport, but after the war it was taken up by the U.S. Government. Presently only Kenmore Air is operating as the passenger airline in this airport. This airline serves Campbell River, Oak Harbor, Eastsound, Port Angeles and Friday Harbor. DHL, United Parcel Service, BAX Global and Ameriflight are the cargo airlines of Boeing Field.

Ground transportation from the Boeing Field is available by public bus transit, taxi, shuttles and rental cars. Clay Lacy Aviation and Galvin Flying Service are the car rental agencies of Seattle. This airport offers extra services on U.S. Customs, U.S. Airport of Entry, Public Health and Agricultural Inspection Facilities and Immigration.
