Rancho Santa Fe is one of the most fascinating evergreen places in California. With about 1000 households, it is the second highest income community in the United States. Ranked amongst the 10 most expensive residential areas in America it is not only a beautiful place to reside in but also a place which ensures complete privacy to owners.

Rancho Santa Fe covenant area is spread over 6200 acres with about 1830 residential sites. The maximum of Building sites which can come up in the area is about 2230. The place has strict design restrictions. Most of the houses cannot be viewed from the road. So the region mostly looks unexplored. Presently it has a population of about 6500 people.

Apart from the down town, which is the site for offices, restaurants and small stores, Rancho Santa Fe is an exclusively residential area except for a few golf courses and country clubs.

Located east of Del Mar, the area has long been the home of the rich and famous. Residents of this area often refer themselves as the Ranch. Owners buy large sites for property as this is usually the norm of housing in Rancho Santa Fe . Most properties range from 2 to 4 acres. It is also known as ‘horse friendly' area. This is primarily because the large sprawling green grounds are ideal for keeping and rearing horses. Almost all the residents of this area own many horses.

Despite the affluence the area isn't much in focus. It finds priority with people who value privacy more than luxurious amenities.

Most homes are constructed on hill tops with breathtaking view of the mountains oceans and valleys. Often the bungalows overlook vast land areas of citrus and avocado groves. What really distinguishes the area from other places is its exclusiveness.
