San Diego lying in the south western side of United States is a city on the coast of Southern California.
San Diego is the second largest city in California and in the eighth largest in the United States. It is located just to the north of Mexican border city of Tijuana and just south of Orange County.
Climate of San Diego is like the semi-arid hot climate of the Mediterranean. The mean monthly temperatures vary from 57° F (14° C) in January to 71° F (22° C) in July. It is very hot in San Diego during late summer and beginning of autumn.
The city of San Diego covers an area of 372 square miles (963.6 square kilometers) of which land is 324 square miles (840 square kilometers) is land.

San Diego has stretches of beautiful beaches which makes it the most sought after tourist destination of United States . San Diego is contains of military installations under the control of United States Navy, the United States Coast Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
Besides beaches, the other main attractions of the city are the San Diego Wild Life Park, amusement parks, aquariums, zoo, golf courses, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World San Diego, Balboa Park and The Gaslamp Quarter.
