The Rockford College was established in the year 1847 as Rockford Female Seminary and then in 1892 changed its name to Rockford College. Rockford College is located at the Rock River Valley and almost at a distance of 90 minutes from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison, WI. It is said to be located at the heart of the city Rockford, Illinois.

Rockford College is a private coeducational, liberal arts college. The famous Jane Addams, who founded the Chicago's Hull-House and won the Nobel Peace Prize in the year 1931, was the alumnae of this college itself. Rockford College is a society of keenly inquisitive, inventive, concerned and joined group of people.

The organizations associated to Rockford College are the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, the Rockford-area Golden Apple Foundation, and Illinois Campus Compact. Reggie the Reggent is the mascot and Richard Kneedler the president of Rockford College.

Rockford College presently has strength of almost 900 undergraduates with 60% of female students and 20% from other states and countries, approximately. Students choose to study here because of the proficient education and small class pattern with the faculty ratio of 10:1. The students studying here aspire to influence social values and do something different. Rockford College also provides financial to more than 90% of its students.

Rockford College has a full time faculty of professionals with almost 80 teachers serving the college. The staff is well educated and trained and all the faculty members have a high degree and mostly hold PHD. Rockford College provides B.A., B.S., B.F.A. & B.S.N. degrees in the following subjects:
