Home Rehoboth Beach city was founded by Rev. Robert W. Todd of St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church of Wilmington, Delaware by the name of Rehoboth Beach Camp Meeting Association to hold Methodist camp meetings in 1873 . Later in the year 1891 it was named as "Henlopen City" by Delaware General Assembly and then soon after it was rechristened as Rehoboth Beach.
