College Excel Program of WCCS
The College Excel Program of World Communications Charter School offers opportunities to the junior and senior students to enroll in university courses of St. Joseph's University, Community College of Philadelphia, Drexel University, Lincoln University and Eastern University. Between the junior year and graduation the students participating in the program can earn 3-24 college credits. Some of the internship placements that are offered by WCCS are WHYY, Lighthouse Architecture, Dickson Law Offices, The Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia's City Hall, University of the Arts, The Urban League, SEPTA, Nexis Lexis and many other organizations. This internship program develops the communication and leadership qualities of the students.
Some of the subjects offered by World Communications Charter School in Philadelphia are Math, Spanish, Health, English, Science, History, Computers Science and Web Design from which the students can select.
