Tara Lipinski was born on 10th June 1982 in Philadelphia in USA to Jack and Patricia Lipinski. Jack her father was an oil executive, and her mother was a homemaker. At the U. S. Olympic Festival, she was the youngest participant to win a gold medal at the age of 12. In 1997 she won many awards like the Ladies' U.S. National Figure Skating Championship, the world championship in women's figure skating and Sports Woman of the Year by the US Olympic Committee.
She shocked the world at the Nagano Winter Olympics held in February in Japan She won the Olympic gold medal in 1998, and finally became professional skater. In 2005, she was elected as the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
