The Art Institute of Philadelphia is one of the premier college s offering career-oriented programs in Philadelphia. The college was founded in the year 1971 by artist Philip Trachtman and it was registered under the Education Management Corporation in 1979. Originally housed in the CBS Radio building designed in 1928,the college building,was later shifted to the Art Deco building,designated as a historical site by the Philadelphia Historical Commission. At present the college has three branches respectively in 1610 and 1510 Chestnut Street and at 2300 Market Street.
