Los Angeles is a universally renowned city of the United States located in the state of California. The city of Los Angeles has gained notoriety from Hollywood and its entertainment industry. The city began its journey back in the second half of 18th century before it was a part of United States. After a prolonged war between the United States and Mexico, Los Angeles finally became a significant part of America in the mid 19th century.

The three large public universities in Los Angeles are significant assets to the city. Besides these, Los Angeles is home to a number of private schools of international acclaim. Some of the main residential areas of Los Angeles are Wilshire, San Fernando, Downtown LA and West LA.
While in Los Angeles some of the main attractions to visit are the Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Chinatown, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
