Key West, Florida

Key West is a city in the U.S state of Florida. Known as the Southernmost City in the Continental United States, the city derived its name from Cayo Hueso the Spanish name, which means bone key. It is the county seat of Monroe County.

Area & Location: Lies 129 miles southwest of Miami, and 106 miles northeast of Havana, Key West is located at 24º33'33? Latitude North and 81º47'03? Longitude West. Having an elevation of about 18 feet above sea level, Key West covers a total area of 19.2 sq. km with 15.4 sq. km of land and 3.8 sq. km of water. The city has a population of 25,478.
