Idaho Falls is a city in the U.S state of Idaho. The city was founded by Matt Taylor with the name Taylor's Crossing. Later the name was changed to Eagle Rock after a rock island. The name was again changed to Idaho Falls and became the third largest city in the state and the largest city in the Eastern Idaho region. It is also the county seat and largest city of Bonneville County.

Area & Location: Located at 43º29'30? Latitude North and 112º1'57? Longitude West, Idaho Falls lies at an elevation of 4,700feet. The city covers a total area of 45.0 sq. km with 44.2 sq. km of land and 0.8 sq. km of water. Around 51,507 people reside in the city.
