Hot Springs is a city in the US state of Arkansas. The city derives its name from the natural thermal water that flows from 47 springs on the western slope of Hot Springs Mountain. In 1832, the US recognized the city and was selected as the first Federal Reservation. In 1921, it became a National Park and was officially incorporated in the year 1876. It is now the tenth most populous city in the state and also the county seat of Garland County.
