The college has spread its activities over an entire area of 212 acres including the neighboring counties of Gettysburg, Lancaster, and Lebanon. A new campus is also being planned in York county. Barring the main campus center other campuses include no less than 18000 students.
The Community College in Harrisburg has 3 important organizations associated with its functioning, they include the Student Government Association, The Fourth Estate and the Students of Wildwood Activities Team. Besides these 3 organizations the college has some very good clubs operating within its premises like the clubs of the Live Action Role Players of HACC, the Japanese Animation Culture Club, the International Awareness Club, Mosaico and the Computers and Networking Club.
The College is currently planning a huge project with the aim of starting a campus in Midtown Harrisburg and simultaneously another one in Uptown Harrisburg. These campuses are expected to draw more students than the number that currently seek admission to the college.
