The city of Fort Wayne is located at the northeastern region of the state of Indiana in the US. Fort Wayne the county seat of Allen County is the second largest city of Indiana. Spread on a land area of 204.48 Sq. Km. the city of Fort Wayne houses a population of 223,341 approximately along with a metropolitan population of 565,606 approximately as estimated in the year 2005.
Named after Gen. "Mad" Anthony Wayne Fort Wayne has always been a transportation and communication hub, being centrally located to Chicago, Cincinnati, and Detroit. Fort Wayne has also nurtured various companies and products for the state of Indiana as well as USA.
On 20 th of October 1794 Fort Wayne was established by the US army after capturing the Wabash-Erie portage from the Miami Confederacy.

But it was later in the year 1840 when on the 22 nd of February this once lost city was included into the US state. As evident by the Roman Catholic and Lutheran churches lot many German and Irish people came and settled in this fort city around the 19 th century.
