One of Ohio's most prestigious and America's most preferred, the Columbus State Community College, is in operation for over 40 years now. This educational journey, although not very long is in no way insignificant as the college has always lived up to the standards of providing quality education to all its students. Since its inception in 1963, when it had just 67 students, the college community has today expanded to include no less than 23000 students.
The Community College of Columbus offers a vast array of educational programs starting from the Arts and Science to the more career and technology-based programs. Courses are offered in around 55 diverse areas covering health, business, human service, and public services and engineering technologies. Students can opt for a 2-year bachelor's degree program here and can then pursue a regular 4-year course in some other college. The Community Education and Workforce Development division of the college organize different types of updated and beneficial courses for students.

The main campus of the Community College is located near the heart of downtown Columbus. Care has been taken to make the campus not just conducive for education but also to increase its scenic beauty and therefore wonderful gardens adorn the college campus. On a sprawling campus of around 80 acres 26 buildings work in co-operation to provide students with the best of education. A Center for Workforce has also been recently included within college premises.
Alongside the main campus, there are 9 other Off-Campus Centers in the various neighborhoods in suburban Columbus like Gahanna, Groveport, Marysville, Grove City, Southeast Columbus, Westerville, Dublin, Delaware and Plain City and also in Bolton Field. Students residing in these neighborhoods can avail these centers to seek education from such a prestigious college as the Community College of Columbia. Centers in these neighborhoods prove quite beneficial for working students. The community College of Columbia has also started providing Distance Education online through its official website.
