Branson MO is famously known as the “ Live Music Capital of the World ”. Branson offers Vegas style shows and musical reviews to audiences in Missouri . Branson Entertainment easily consists of about 100 live shows on a daily average at any of the city's 50 theaters. The very first Branson Entertainment Show was the Baldknobbers Jamboree show in 1951. The most famous and long running show, the Shepherd of the Hills is an icon of the Branson Entertainment scene.
In the 1950s, the Baldknobbers Jamboree and soon after, the Presley Country Jubilee were the first shows to draw major crowds in Branson. This was followed by the Braschler Music Show with their musical repertoire including musical genres like country, bluegrass and gospel tunes.
