Boston Terrier, popularly known as Boston Bull Terrier is one of the most loved dog breeds in Boston. Compact and well-muscled physique with short and broad face, large round eyes and erect ears are the prominent features of Boston Terrier. The head of these dogs are broad, flat without wrinkles with a short, square shaped muzzle like black nose. Its neck is slightly curved with a broad chest. The limbs of the Boston terrier puppies are straight and muscular. The hair on the terrier's body is short and fine textured. Boston terriers are usually found in bicolor, which include colors like black, white, brindle and brown. Boston Terrier belongs to the Mastiff group.

The average height of the Boston Terrier is15-17 inches and weight is around 10-25 pounds. Breathing difficulties due to over stress, snoring or drooling is often noticed in this breed. Heart and skin tumors are the common troubles faced by Boston terriers. These dogs are more active in the outdoors than in indoors. They can be carried easily because of their light weight. Boston terriers prefer long daily walks and hours of free play. Life expectancy of Boston terriers are about 15 years and above. At a time the terriers reproduce 3 - 4 puppies.
