The recent surveys have shown that Boston shopping attracts tourists from all over the world. The city of Boston has numerous department stores, boutiques, malls, and outlets.

One of the favorite shopping areas in Boston is Newbury Street. It has innumerable boutiques, art galleries, and other shops, that cater to every taste. If tourists are not interested in shopping they can simply stroll on the Newbury Street from one end to another and enjoy the sight of big sprawling shops and malls. On the east end of the street lies the Ritz-Carlton hotel. Near the Ritz-Carlton there are the outlets of some of the top name brands like Brooks Brothers, Armani, Cartier. On the west end of the street there are bookstores, ice cream parlors, and crafts shop.

Downtown Crossing is an ideal place for traditional shopping in Boston. The area has two large departmental stores and thousands of smaller
shops. Both Copley Place and the shops at Prudential center are located in Back Bay. Faneuil Hall Marketplace is another of the exquisite marketplaces in Boston.

Some of the popular shopping malls of Boston are Cambridge Side Galleria, Burlington Mall, Atrium Mall, Arsenal Mall, Copley Place, Emerald Square Mall, Mall at Chestnut Hill. Here, tourists can buy some of the top brand merchandise from top sellers like Borders, United Colors of Benetton, Origins, Tiffany & Co., Williams, Old Navy, Macys, Banana Republic, Victoria's Secret, Best Buy, Apple Computers, Lane Bryant, the Gap and many.

For arts and crafts articles, tourists can visit the Bromfield Art Gallery at Harrison Avenue and Cambridge Artist's Co operative at Harvard Square. People interested in books can have a look at the book stores of Harvard Square.
