Emerson College is the only college of America that is purely dedicated to communication and the arts in the context of liberal arts. The college is situated in downtown Boston, at the entranceway to the Theater District. It lies very close to the major media outlets of the city.
The Emerson College in Boston started as a small school of oratory in 1880, which later expanded into a college. Gradually with the passing years the College has developed into a multi-faceted college, specializing in the areas of communication, visual and media arts, marketing, communication sciences and disorders, writing literature & publishing, journalism, the performing arts and publishing.
