Trafford Centre


The Trafford Centre is a huge indoor shopping Centre in Manchester. The shopping mall covers 118,766 square meters (1.2m square feet) of area and is visited by nearly 30 million people every year. Peel Holdings owns this shopping center.

The Trafford Centre is very well connected with the various modes of transportation. Bus route 250 run by Stagecoach Manchester provides regular service to and from Manchester Piccadilly Gardens to the Trafford Centre. One can even avail train or taxi to reach the Centre.

Different Areas of Trafford Centre

The majestic Trafford Centre can be divided into the following four main areas:

The Peel Avenue houses some of the high street shops like Boots, Apple Store and H&M. The two departmental stores of John Lewis and four-storey Marks & Spencer are also located here.

The Dome is in the heart of Trafford Centre and it houses the up market stores like Selfridges.

The Orient and The Great Hall of the Trafford Centre is the most favorite area of the Centre. This area houses all the places of entertainment and dining like a 1,600-seat food court, Laser Quest Laser Tag arena, the Odeon multiplex cinema with 20-screen, a huge Namco Centre with Bowling, Dodgems, and other Arcade games. In this area most of the restaurants and bars are located including Ma Potter's, The Exchange Bar & Grill, Nando's, Cathay Dim Sum, Starbucks and Est Est Est. One can also relish food at the popular fast food outlets like KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s and Subway located here.

The Regent Crescent of the Trafford Centre is home to
a number of high-end designer stores such as Mexx, Karen Millen, Gap and Jane Norman. The bookshop Waterstones and the two department stores, BHS and Debenhams are located in this area. .

Shops at Trafford Centre

The Trafford Centre has the stores of some of the finest brands of the world. There are nearly 230 stores in this shopping complex. One can shop for some of the finest designer brands of the world like DKNY, Gucci, FCUK, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier, Lacoste and many more. The mall has shops selling all kinds of articles and goods from electronic goods to handbags and accessories, homeware to cosmetics and skincare, menswear to childrenswear, jewelery and watches to shoes, ladies wear to lingerie and various types of other articles.

Opening timings of Trafford Centre

The Shops of Trafford Centre are open from 10am - 10pm from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays from 10am - 8pm, while on Sundays from 12noon to 6pm. The Orient Restaurant is open from 10am till midnight from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays from 9am till midnight and beyond, while on Sundays they are open from 11am till midnight. On Bank Holidays the Centre is open from 10am-8pm. The ODEON Cinema of Trafford Centre follows the following schedule:
  • Mon - Thurs 9.40am - 1am
  • Sat 9.40am - 3am
  • Fri 9.40am - 3am
  • Sun 9.40am - 1am
