Manchester Food & Drink Festival is among the largest food festivals that is celebrated in the United Kingdom. Manchester Food & Drink Festival in 2008 is scheduled to be held for a period of 10 days between 3rd and13th October. It is supposed to be dedicated to Tony Wilson, a constant supporter and friend of the event.

The Manchester Food & Drink Festival 2007, was held between 5th to 15th October and the 10 days of celebrations were very successful. It was also a celebration of the festival's 10th anniversary. All the 10 districts of Greater Manchester namely Salford, Trafford, Bury, Tameside, Stockport, Manchester, Wigan, Bolton, Oldham and Rochdale took part in the

The Taste Dine and Learn Pavilion, located on Albert Square, was one of the main attractions of the Manchester Food & Drink Festival. It attracted some 30,000 visitors, who were given the opportunity of sampling as well as buying the best produce of Manchester. They also got the chance of tasting some of the delicacies prepared by the best restaurants of Greater Manchester Area. Visitors also learned about various culinary secrets and recipes directly from regional as well as national chefs. The festival concluded at the Manchester Town Hall, with a 'Gala Dinner and Awards' ceremony, in which all the remarkable achievers of the food and drink industry of 2007, were given due recognition.
