As per the data of 2003 December, the total population of Manchester was 422,300. The total number of people living in Manchester increased by 29,500, from the estimates of the 2001 Census. The 2001 Census report said that the total number of men living in Manchester was 1208241 and that of women was 1274111. In 2005, the density of population in Manchester was 3,319.9 per square miles of land.
