The Manchester Comedy Festival is a popular comedy festival that is held every year in the beautiful English city of Manchester, generally during the last 2 weeks in the month of October. The Manchester Comedy Festival in 2007 was a huge success. It was held from 18 to 29 October. More than 100 performers were seen in 26 different venues, located throughout the city and even in Greater Manchester. The last festival started with a bang with the live broadcast of the enjoyable Justin Moorhouse show. Justin and other festival performers thrilled the viewers with the afternoon show.

Festival such as Jimmy Carr, Robin Ince, Richard Herring and Dave Spikey took part in the festival of 2007. Debut performances were given by comedians like John Shuttleworth, Scott Capurro, Frankie Boyle, Al Murray and US comedian Steve McGrew. A wonderful show by Mick Miller, Duncan Norvelle and Jim Bowen revived the genre of 'old school comedy'.
The performers of the Edinburgh festival such as Tom Stade, Rhod Gilbert, Glenn Wool, Jason Cook and Steve Hughes also entertained the viewers of the Manchester Comedy Festival with their hilarious stage shows. On the concluding day of the festival, Tim Craven won the title of 'City Life Comedian of the Year 2007'
