  • Matt and Phred's Jazz Club: It is famous as a very popular club in the North West region, which is totally devoted to playing and hosting live jazz. It is located at 64 Tib Street in the Northern Quarter of the city. The popularity of the music club lies in the fact that exceptional performances of jazz are featured every night, from Monday to Saturday.Sometimes non-jazz events, such as programs related to films are
    also hosted in the club.It is owned by a professional saxophonist named Matt Nixon, who is actively involved in all the events of the club. Matt and Phred's Jazz Club is a favorite of the locals and tourists for its very inviting ambiance, mouthwatering food and cocktails and sensational music.

  • Manchester Buddhist Centre: This Buddhist center is a popular tourist attraction in the city. It is looked after by Friends of the Western Buddhist Order or FWBO, an international organization that is concerned with the application of Buddhist rules and principles to urban communities. It was set up in 1996 by Sangharakshita to provide peace and tranquility to city-dwellers. It is located at 16-20 Turner Street in the Northern Quarter. It opens from Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM. On Saturday it remains open from 10 AM to 5 PM. The center remains closed on Sundays as well as on Bank Holidays. The center has a bookshop, 2 meditation halls, a reference library, vegetarian cafe known as 'Earth'.
The other must-visit attractions of the city are Manchester Museum, Portland Basin Museum, Gallery of Costume, Museum of Transport, Manchester Jewish Museum and Museum of the Manchester Regiment.
