During 6th century, the Saxons occupied London and the first St. Paul's Cathedral was established by then in the year 604 AD. After the Anglo Saxon era, the medieval age in London (1066-1485) started when Normans from France encroached upon the London territory. The Norman ruler William I took the hold and founded the ‘Tower of London’.
