Hampstead is a suburban region in London, positioned 6.4 kilometers northwest of Charing Cross. One of the major attractions of Hampstead is the Hampstead Heath, which is hilly parkland and is very popular with the tourists. The houses at Hampstead are very expensive and many millionaires of Britain stay there. Hampstead is also the base of “Tribune” which is a left-wing Labour magazine.

In 1889, Hampstead became a part of County of London and the Metropolitan Borough of Hampstead was formed in the year 1899. The region belongs to London Borough of Camden. During the 20th century, many striking buildings were built in Hampstead, which include Iskon Building and Hampstead Theater.

At the preset days, Hampstead is supposed to be a major part of London, but the rustic feel of the area still exists and the old charm of the place attracts a lot of visitors. The visitors to Hampstead would enjoy visiting the traditional pubs of the town.
