With various popular singles and three hit albums in its repertoire, Yachts is one of the known Liverpool music bands of 1970s.

The music band, Yachts was formed in April 1977 by a group of art students living in Liverpool. The debut of the band was organized at the Eric's nightclub in the city and the group played along with Elvis Costello. Their first performance led to their signing a contract with Stiff Records in October.

Yachts (band)- the songs
During their association with Stiff Records, the Yachts recorded and released a single track, 'Suffice To Say'. Then the band separated with Stiff Records and signed an agreement with Radar Records. Their tenure with Radar Records witnessed a series of hits including the debut LP recorded in New York. Martin Rushent did the recording of the 2nd LP. It was named 'Without Radar' and both of them were released in USA. The last release by Yachts titled 'Fool Like You' was in 1981.
The Yachts also toured extensively throughout Europe with 'The Who' and through the USA with Joe Jackson in 1979.
