Liverpool Theaters form an integral part of the cultural life of Liverpool. Some of the theaters have been an important venue for many superb plays like "Snow White", "Metamorphosis", "Like A Virgin", "Henry IV", "Macbeth" and so on. Everyman Theater:
Located in Hope Street, it is one of the leading theaters of not only Liverpool but the whole of England. It was founded in August 1964. John Gardner and Alan Durband raised funds to rebuild the theater in 1977. Many renowned artists including Billy Nighy, Jonathan Pryce and Julie Walters have performed in this theatre. Some of the famous performances that were held in this theater include "An Enemy of the People", "The Mersey Funnel", "Murder in the Cathedral", "Jack of Spades", "The Caretaker", "Henry IV", "The Importance of Being Earnest" and so on.
Neptune Theater:
The Cranes founded the Crane's Music Hall in 1913. Later it became a part of the Neptune Theater in 1967 when the Liverpool Corporation overtook the theater from the Cranes. This theater comprises 445 seats. The name of this theater reflects the maritime history of this city. This theater houses many outstanding performances such as "Tim Vine", "Macbeth", "Like A Virgin", "Soul Explosion", "Humpty Dumpty in Nursery Rhyme Land", "The Department", "A Street Car Named Desire" and so on. Many famous artists including Harry Hill, Lily Savage, Steve Coogan and Bill Bailey have performed here.

Liverpool Playhouse:
The Star Music Hall turned into Liverpool Playhouse in 1911. It was one of the oldest complete repertory theaters of contemporary Liverpool. It is located at the William Square. Many renowned artists like Rachel Kempson, Noel Coward, John Thaw, Anthony Hopkins, Michael and Robert Donat have performed at Liverpool Playhouse. This theater witnessed many brilliant performances such as "Romeo and Juliet", "London Assurance", "Charlotte's Web", "Metamorphosis", "The Man Who Had All The Luck" and many more.
Royal Court Theater:
Royal Court Theater was founded in 1881. Since its establishment it has been a popular venue for many performing arts like play, ballet, comedy, pop and rock concerts and so on. The theater was destroyed in a fire in 1933 but was reconstructed in 1938. The seating arrangements of this theater resemble that of a traditional theater. The venue also includes some stalls which serve meal an hour before the show starts. Some of the famous performances that took place at this theater include "Dick Whittington", "Brick up the Mersey Tunnels", "Babes in the Wood", "Lost Soul", "Aladdin", "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Cinderella" and so on
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic:
Established in 1849 it was called "The best in Europe" by Sir Thomas Beecham. The building was reconstructed in 1939 after it was completely destroyed in a fire that broke out in 1933. The new building was designed by Herbert Rowse. The hall was again renovated in 1995. It houses various events, plays, comedy, film screening, concerts and so on.
