Steve Coppell: Early Life
Born on 9th July, 1955 at Norris Green Liverpool, Steve Coppell is highly celebrated for achieving a number of honors in his short football career. Coppell received his basic education from Quarry Bank Grammar School located in South Liverpool. In January, 1974, Coppell signed a contract with Tranmere Club. He joined for a degree course at Liverpool University and led the university football team. Year 1975 brought a turning point in his life when Coppell was offered a contract of £60,000. Coppell won medals for old second division championship in that very year. In the year 1976 Coppell played in FA cup final match. Manchester lost the match and was defeated by second division Southampton.

took part in FA Cup Final. 1981 is marked as a tragic year in Coppell's life since he suffered from a serious knee injury. Though he played in four World Cup matches for England in 1982 but in the year 1983, Coppell's knee injury is diagnosed as a chronic problem and subsequently he is compelled to put an end to his career. In his short yet glorious career Coppell scored 54 goals in 322 matches for Manchester United, and 7 goals in 42 international matches played for England.
Steve Coppell: as a team manager
In 1984, Steve was designated as a team manager for Crystal Palace. In 1990, Palace played its first FA Cup final match but was defeated by Manchester United. Coppell left Palace in year 1993 and again joined the team as general manager in 1995. In 1996 Coppell left palace again and joined as a manager of the Manchester City, but left his position after 33 days. In the year 1997, Coppell was designated as a manager of Palace and guided Palace to win the premiership with a score of 1-0. Steve left his managerial post of the Crystal Palace team in the year 1998 and took some other position at the club.
