The Saint Philip Neri Church established during the Second World War and in adherence to the American colonial style is often the most-visited site of the tourists.
The Saint Philip Neri Church was founded within a month of the conclusion of the Second World War. It was set up in the month of September in 1945. The foundation of the church was laid by Father Doyle. It was originally built as a parish and when Father Doyle arrived at the Saint Philip Neri parish, he felt the need to set up a different church sufficient to admit the population of his entire parish. Within a period of just one month after the establishment of the Parish, the plan to build a church was approved by the Most Reverend Archbishop.
Architecture of the Saint Philip Neri Church
The architecture of the church was in adherence to the American Colonial style. The style though plain and simple was quite charming in itself. After the structure was completed it was dedicated to Saint Philip in an official ceremony that took place on the 18th of May 1947.

Construction of the New Church
The construction of a new church came about in 1979. The church was designed by Lawrence A. Buck & Son and Thomas J. Mangan. The windows of the church were designed separately by Tony Mako. The art work displayed in the church was done by Ann Willet Kellog. The design of the new church perfectly combined materials and forms of contemporary art and architectural patterns. The church center is spacious enough to accommodate people at a distance of about 80 feet of the Sanctuary.
Saint Philip Neri Church School
The Saint Philip Neri Church also runs a school which is mainly concerned with providing education related to Christ and his teachings. The school has been accredited by the Standard for Accreditation and currently has about 500 students in classes Pre-K to 8. The school also houses a library for the benefit of students and the wards of the parishioners are given preference in terms of admission.
The mass schedule in the church begins at 6.30 in the morning everyday. Masses on Sunday begin half an hour later at 7 a.m. There are provisions for baptisms and confessions as well.
