The Higson's Brewery brews some of the choicest beers that are available at numerous pubs and bars.
The Higson's Brewery in Liverpool was set up in 1780 at the Stanhope Street. The brewery was operational for a period of about 200 years. In 1985, the control of the brewery passed on to the hands of the Boddingtons.

After its acquisition by the Boddingtons, Whitbread manufactured the beer of the Higson brewery. The process of brewing was renewed at the Higson's Brewery in 2005. It was initially carried out at the Mayflower Brewery, located in Wigan, before being shifted to the company's present unit.
