One of the significant features of Liverpool Comedy Festival is Drink Up Stand Up. It is a tour of the pubs with the comedians. The tour begins at a particular point and follows a long route with crowds cheering and performers staging different shows on the streets.

A favorite event of the spectators is the Bus Stop Stand Up which is a comedy tour aboard a bus. This tour consists of a bus ride and entertainment at the same time. During this tour, comedians are picked up from various stops and they entertain the people in the bus. Other events include funny plays, 'Ferry Funny', 'Stand Out Club', 'Slappers & Spearheads', funny film series, comedy films, radio comedy broadcasts and lots more.

Synopsis from 2007 Festival

In 2007, the Liverpool Comedy Festival completed its sixth year. There were many famous comedians and performers who put up fantastic shows at different venues as part of the Festival. Every show earned much appreciation and admiration from the audience that gathered to watch them.

The performers at Liverpool Comedy Festival 2007 included many names popular among the Liverpool audience. Performers consisted of Jimmy Carr, Stewart Lee, Tom O'Connor, John Hegley, Reginald D Hunter, Jason Manford, Sue Perkins, Lucy Porter and Jason Byrne.

Comedy shows were held at Unity Theater, Empire Theater, Royal Court, Liverpool Academy of Arts, many pubs and many other places. The pub crawl featured 4 pubs with one comedian at every pub and a comedy tours in Hardman Street, Heswall and Crossby.

There was also a bus ride comedy tour which began at Queens Square. In this tour comedians, picked up from various spots, entertained the people throughout the journey. The tour, following a long route, ends in one of the pubs where a superb comedy show awaited the audience.

The festival of 2007 also included an exhibition named 'The World According To'. It had on display a wide collection of cartoons and was a huge success. Moreover, there were one man shows and duets presented by Silky, Steve Gribbin, Keith Carter, Chris Cairns, John Bishop, Brendan Riley, Pauline Daniels and Neil Caple.

Like every year, in 2007 too, the festival was a big success that witnessed 18 days of fun, enjoyment and laughter.

Liverpool Comedy Festival is therefore unique for its theme and its events. With comedy shows and comedy tours, it is one of the most memorable events in Liverpool.
