Albert Dock


Albert Dock is a waterfront tourist attraction in Liverpool that is host to events in Maritime Museum, Pan American Club, Blue Bar and Grill and Baby Blue club.

The Albert Dock was established by Prince Albert in the year 1846. One of the most stunning Liverpool tourist attractions, it offers an array of exciting tourist hang-outs. Overlooking the enigmatic waterfront, the Albert Dock in Liverpool houses some of the most beautiful sights in the city like The Tate Liverpool, New International Slavery Museum, the Beatles story and the Merseyside Maritime Museum among others.

A part of a group of Grade I buildings, the Albert Dock proves to be a visual treat for the tourists to the city. Visitors can opt for a Shiverpool Ghost Tour expedition or a cruising expedition on the Yellow Duckmarine.

Albert Dock Events

Host to a number of events, the Albert Dock has received quite a number of footfalls in the past few years. Some of the exciting upcoming events at the Albert Dock include:

  • Blue bar Grill and baby Blue would be hosting a valentine extravaganza on the 14th of February with singers like Katie Miller, RnB, Soul and Pop performing live. Some of the other events that are organized at the bar include weekly late night opening and DJs, Sunday Roast in Blue, Live Comedy and many more.

  • Maritime Museum is going to host a family activity that would be conducted by Dr. William Henry Duncan. It will be held from the 2nd of Feb till the 14th of February. Some of the other events providing an insight into history and legends that are going to take place in the Maritime Museum include:

  • A workshop on the Dragons and lanterns would be held from February 3rd to 10th 2008.
  • 'Market days and Medieval days', which is a family activity is going to be held on the 9th of February, 2008.
  • An exhibition on 'Spotlight on the Titanic' is going to be organized on the 4th ,18th and the 25th of February, 2008.
  • Storytelling sessions 'Punch and Judy' along with 'Shiver me Timbers' are going to be held on the 9th of February and the 10th of February respectively. The storytelling session of ' The Leaving of Liverpool' will be held on the 11th and the 12th of February, 2008.
  • Maritime skills: Medieval Woodcarving will be held on 13 and 23rd February, 2008.

    With the above events and many more of their kinds, Albert Dock has become one of the top priorities in the vacationing schedules of all the tourists to Liverpool.
