Theater am Neumarkt: It is among the oldest theaters of Zurich. It was set up in Old City District by the old guilds. The elegant theater is housed in a baroque Palace, located close to Niederdorf Street. It has 2 wonderful
stages, where production of avant garde European directors are staged.

Zürcher Opernhaus: This theatre is actually a renowned Opera House and is famous throughout Europe. It is located at Theaterstrasse 4 and its director is Alexander Pereira.
Theater der Künste: This theater is officially managed by Zurich University of the Arts. The plays of the university are staged in this theater. It is located in the vicinity of the Bahnhofstrasse, shopping street and the Theater Gessnerallee.
Zurich Comedy Club is a popular amateur theater club in the city and is a completely English-speaking theater club. More than 120 English plays have been performed by the club. The plays that are enacted by the club members are generally all forms of hilarious comedies and even include Shakespearean drama. The Zurich Comedy Club is made up of the members who are basically English-speaking people from not only Switzerland but numerous international places as well. Before enacting plays they gather to read, practice and engage in discussions.
