- By Air - The international Kloten Airport is one of the major and busiest airport in Switzerland. It is situated approximately 7 miles from city center of Zurich. It takes around 10 hours from Chicago, 7 hours from New York and 14 hours from Los Angeles to reach Zurich by flight. This airport is served by nearly 60 airlines, including American Airlines, Air Canada, Delta, Continental, TWA, Swissair and United Airlines. Domestic and European flights are also available from Kloten on Switzerland's domestic airline - Crossair. Zürich has daily flights to London, Paris, Frankfurt and New York.
Tourists can avail various modes to public transport to reach the city of Zurich. The best are the Welti-furrer Limo and minivan shuttles running between the airport and all the well known hotels at a regular inteval of 45 minutes. Taxis are expensive in Zürich and takes around

20 to 40 minutes to reach the city from the airport. Trains are a better options and the Swiss Federal Railway feeder train connects the airport to Zürich's main rail station – Hauptbahnhof.
- By Railways - The Venice-Simplon-Orient Express connects London to Zürich. There are several express routes connect Zurich directly to cities like Bern, Basel Geneva and Lugano. Trains coming from Paris' Gare de L'Est depart daily at 4:59pm and reach Zürich at 10:45pm. The Gottfried Keller Express departs at 6:15pm from Munich and arrives at 10:23 pm in Zürich. All trains halt at the Hauptbahnhof station in the city center.
- By Roadways – Zurich can be reached conveniently by cars and other motor vehicles, since the new expressway between Basel and Zürich is the best route from the northwest frontier. The highway N3 east from Basel, and from Geneva and N1 highway from the northeast, crossing Bern leads to Zurich. The E4 and E17 are interconnecting routes heading for Zürich.
