Maag Music and Event Hall is one of the most celebrated cultural venues in Zürich. The location of Maag Music and Event Hall at the Hardstrasse region of Zurich, makes it easily accessible by the bus routes of 33, 54 and 72 at the Bahnhof Hardbrücke station, the S-Bahn station lies right next to it. Until 2001, this venue was used for important conferences for congresses, business presentations and corporate events of well known companies and cultural parties. Max Maag was founded 1913 at the site of Hard Road 219 in Zurich's west. The region is a major industrial sector of the city. The industrial zone changed its form within a few years and this cultural venue of Zurich became a landmark in the region. In 1968, the older building was refurbished and then the present building was created. Renowned companies such as trendy UBS, ebay, Bank Julius Baer and Holcim held their annual festivals and events at the Maag Music and Event Hall. Several premier shows by groups like Duran Duran, Alanis Morissette, Faithless and Joss Stone have performed in this music hall. Great musicals like African Footprint, Deep, Hair and the Rat Pack were awarded the prestigious event of Celebration Point Award 2004.
Structure of Maag Music and Event Hall
The 1450 square meter event Hall is massive and was constructed at the end of the 1960s.

The hall is illuminated in vibrant colors and beautiful engravings. The event hall features 50m-long glass wall facade,which bulges out giving a Japanese touch to the decor. The back wall of the hall is made up of smooth tulle fabric. This fabric creates the illusion of the hall being warm and intimate, despite the enormity. The Maag Music and Event Hall can accommodate up to 3000 people and the Gala dinner section can allow up to 800 people.
There are four large halls within the Maag, and these auditoriums are used for corporate events . The guests are provided with several facilities at this hall, such as the separate guest cloakroom, green room for make up, separate toilets and and may more.
Bistro K2 is the famous eatery house in Maag Music and Event Hall. The ambiance of K2 is charming with the white walls and dominant black bar at the corner of the room. The old glass portico inside the room allows the warm sunlight to penetrate into the Music Hall corridors. Lunch and dinner menus are available at the bistro.
Maag Music and Event Hall has been a prized possession of the city, staging product presentations, conferences, general meetings, exhibitions, fashion shows, gala dinners, concerts, general information events, award ceremonies and so on. Some of the popular events held at this venue include the Final Party Music Star, Presentation Maserati Quattroporte, concerts by Black Eyed Peas, Alanis Morissette and many others.
