Zurich Art Gallery or Kunsthaus Zürich is a celebrated art gallery with an important archive consisting of pictures, paintings and sculptures from the ancient times till the present day. The location of Zurich Art Gallery in the heart of the city at Heimplatz in Postfach , makes it easily accessible from all parts of the city. About Zurich Art Gallery
The entrance is adorned by a large piece of bronze sculpture, the "Porte de l'Enfer" or "Gate of Hell" on the right side. This sculpture was created by Auguste Rodin. This gallery is supervised by the Zurich Society of Arts . The charity fund of this organization is used for the benefit of the society of artists, constituted in 1787. century like F. Buchser, R., J. H. Füssli, Koller, C. Amiet, A Böcklin, F. Hodler and also paintings of foreign artists like E. Munch, M. Beckmann and O. Kokoschka.

The department of contemporary sculpture dates back to the period of Rodin. The extraordinary works of Moore, Barloch, Picasso, Maillot, Caler, Rodin, Segal and Tinguely consists of the unique collection in this museum. The graphic collection comprises about 80,000 drawings and prints by J. H. Füssli, F. Hodler, S. Gessner, F. Hegi, A. Dürer, L. Corinth, Raffael and Rembrandt.
Zurich Art Gallery is the city’s most important gallery, boasting a marvelous collection of paintings and sculptures by the Swiss and international artists belonging to both the medieval and contemporary times. The best specimens in this gallery are two of Monet’s Water Lilies paintings and the entire collection of Edvard Munch’s works. Zurich Art Gallery is open to general public from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm on weekdays. On Friday to Sunday, the gallery is open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
