Satraan is a stream in Sweden that flows through the southern part of the Swedish city of Stockholm. The stream passes from Segeltorp and Västertorp areas and forms several water pools on a temporary basis.
The surrounding area of this stream creates a wonderful natural ambiance. In the year 2002, a dam was constructed over the Satraan Stream. Apart from this, a strong water pipe was also modified. There is a public bathe very close to the mouth of Satraan stream. Most of its surrounding area is covered by forests and grass that adds to the natural scenic beauty of the place.

Flora and Fauna Species in Satraan Stream
In Satraan stream, metals, nitrogen and phosphorus content can be found in abundance. Other than this, the lake contains a significant amount of copper, lead and zinc. Many flora and fauna species exist in the lake. Some of the species that can be found here include Oligochaeta, Caddisflies, Chironomidae flies, Beetles, Gammarus pulex, pullata and Gammarus pulex and Mayflies.
The basin area of this stream of Stockholm occupies around 18 hector land. The length of the stream is around 1 kilometer. The Satraan Stream joins Mälaren Lake towards the end.
