Rosersberg Palace is one of the renowned palaces in Sweden belonging to the Royal Family of the country. The palace has been constructed by the side of the Malaren Lake in 1630s. The Oxenstierna family built the Rosersberg Palace in Stockholm. It came to be recognized as a Royal palace from 1762. From then onwards the ownership of the palace was given to Karl XIII.
Rosersberg Palace reflects the influence of Renaissance style of architecture. But when the Renaissance style of architecture faded during the later years of the 17th century, the Rosersberg Palace was redesigned in the prevailing Rococo style. Many portions of the building was reconstructed.
The palace was given its name after the mother of Gabriel Bengtsson Oxenstierna. The lady, after whom the palace was named, belonged to the family of Three Roses. Erland Carlsson Broman became the owner of the palace in the year 1747. He further modernized the Palace of Rosersberg. After his death, the ownership of

the palace was passed on to Karl by the state.
After Karl received the ownership of Rosersberg Palace, he made it his Royal residence. He renovated the palace and Gustavian style of architecture was followed. The interiors of the Rosersberg Palace was made more attractive, of which the Hogland Room, the Red and Orange drawing rooms are worth mentioning.
The Rosersberg Palace in Stockholm in Sweden was used as a summer residence by Queen Desideria and Karl XIV Johan. The rooms of the palace have been preserved well. The infantry of Sweden was given the responsibility of looking after the Rosersberg Palace after Desideria died in 1860. Later, some portions of the palace was let out to the Civil Defence Force of Sweden.
Rosersberg Palace, Stockholm has a beautiful park. This park was designed by Tessin the Younger in the 17th century. An English garden is also located adjacent to this park.
