Stockholm Public Library is one of the biggest public libraries in Sweden. This library can be accessed by all the local people of the Swedish city of Stockholm. No fee has to be paid to access this Swedish library.
Stockholm Public Library is located on the street of Sveavagen. Often it is referred to as Asplund's Library. In the year 1924 the construction work of this library started and finally, in 1928 the work was completed. Gunnar Asplund gave design to this library building.

Stockholm Public Library’s Information
Stockholm Public Library consists of 140 staff. In the year 2001, it had around 795,000 volumes. In order to improve the quality of the service, Visitor Pathways project has been initiated by the librarian, Inga Lunden. This project was divided into different phases: an initiating phase, a preferential phase and a realization phase.
Projects for the Development of the Stockholm Library
Some other projects that are initiated for the all-round development of this library of Sweden are the logistics project, the Education Project and the Virtual Library Project. Recently a new computer system has been introduced in this library that helps people to easily find out books on any topic.
