Meatballs Kottbullar


Meatballs Kottbullar is one of the most-consumed Swedish delicacies. Usually, during the Christmas time, this recipe is being prepared. However, in other occasions also meatballs Kottbullar is consumed by the people.

A number of ingredients are needed to prepare the delicacy which remains available in the market through out the year. The procedure adopted while cooking this Kottbullar is also a simple one.

Ingredients Used for Meatballs Kottbullar

The ingredients that are used for making the meatballs Kottbullar are breadcrumbs, soda, light cream, grated onion, ground beef, ground allspice, egg, butter, and salt (to taste). Often ginger is also used to make it.

Procedure for Making Meatballs Kottbullar

To prepare the meatballs Kottbullar, first mix cream, soda water and bread crumbs in a bowl. Keep this bowl aside for at least five minutes. Then, in another bowl, mix the adequate amount of beef with onion and allspice. Add salt to it. Thereafter add beaten egg with the mixture of bread crumb. Finally make small meat balls from the prepared mixture.

Then pour some amount of butter in a bowl. Give heat to it. Fry the balls in a pan, until they turn brown in color. Fry the balls for 8 to 9 minutes. The preparation is ready to be served. People usually prefer to have it hot. So, this dish is always served hot along with boiled potatoes, cranberry jam and salad.
