Hagaparken Stockholm or Hagapark in Stockholm has been set up near the Brunnsviken Bay. It is located near the center of the city of Stockholm. The park was designed by Fredrik Magnus Piper. This landed property was owned by Gustav III in 1780s. But the Hagaparken could not be completed after the death of Gustav.
The property of Haga was acquired by Gustav III. Fredrik Magnus Piper, the architect helped Gustav to design the park at Haga. The park was built on a 50, 000 square meter of area. Hagaparken was designed following the model of English parks. The Hagaparken in Stockholm was beautified with pavilions and many magnificent buildings. The Pavilion of Gustav III, Chinese Pavilion and the Turkish Pavilion are worth visiting at this park.

Gustav III planned to beautify the palace of Hagaparken Stockholm with antique statues from Rome. Plans were undertaken to construct a palace in the garden. But the construction work of the Hagaparken remained incomplete as Gustav III in 1792 was assassinated. During this time, the construction of the palace in the park was assigned to Louis Jean Deprez, a French architect. Though the construction works could never be completed, yet Hagaparken has become one of the favorite tourist attractions in Stockholm.
Tourists in Stockholm can avail bus service from Centralen to reach Hagaparken. The park is an ideal destination for a family outing. The Butterfly House can also be visited. There is canoe club situated near this park. A canoe can be rented for a ride in the Brunnsviken Bay.
