Forsan is a stream that runs through the southern part of Stockholm. The length of this stream is roughly 1.4 kilometers. It flows from tece Magelungen to Drevviken. Forsen and Stortorpsan are the other names of this stream. Its basin area covers around 80 hectares surface area.
Leaving the Magelungen Lake, upper course of Forsan flows through a furrow, whereas, it’s lower course runs through the bedrock. This stream houses a number of Signal crayfish. Forsan is also the home ground of the White-throated Dipper.

The industrial area of Larsboda occupies almost half of the drainage area of Forsan, whereas,

the remaining part is full of green spaces, gardens and parks. The Forsan stream has a huge amount of nitrogen, phosphorus content, however, low amount of common metals can also be found in this stream.
Rare Species of Forsan Stream
The Forsan stream is also known for housing some rare species of gastropods, like Swan mussel and Hippeutis Complanatus and bivalve. Beside these, other aquatic species that are found in this stream include Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Kingfisher, White-legged Damselfly, Trout, and Beaver.
Forsan is a well known tourist destination of Stockholm in Sweden. The visitors are enthralled at the natural scenic beauty of the place.
