Stockholm-Bromma Airport started to operate with its inauguration in the year 1936. It was the first airport in Europe during that time to have paved runways. It became the international airport of Stockholm in 1962 with flights to all parts of the world. The next year Bromma Airport served as a major domestic airport in Sweden. It was after 1983 that Bromma became primarily an airport for the aviation aircrafts. From 1992 onwards, it has been used as a city airport in Stockholm.
