Bollhustappan Stockholm received its name from a theater known as Bollhuset. Bollhustappan is a popular public square, located in Gamla Stan in Stockholm. Bollhustappan in Swedish language means “The Ball House Patch”. The Finnish Church of Gamla Stan is located very near the Bollhustappan.
Till the year 1960, a building stood at the present site of Bollhustappan Stockholm. Two buildings of ball game were situated near the present site of Bollhustappan. One of these 2 buildings was used to house the Finnish Church. The other one housed theater halls.

for charity known as The Sunday Alms and The Friday Alms. Bollhustappan in Stockholm also witnessed the setting up of an electrical plant in 1880s. Hederskoldska huset was a three storied building that was erected on the eastern part of the patch. Remnants of this building can still be seen at the public square of Bollhustappan.
At Bollhustappan Stockholm, visitors will get to see a sculpture by Liss Eriksson locally known as “Olle”. This sculpture is also known as the “Iron Boy” and more popularly as the “Boy Looking at the Moon”. This work of art is not only appreciated by the local people but also by the foreigners.
