Sri Lankan National Hospital was set up in 1864 by the British Government. Presently, this is a state hospital is aided and controlled by the Ministry of Health. The National Hospital of Sri Lanka is extended over an approximate area of 30 acres. Currently, around 500 doctors and 80 Consultant staff are associated with this health organization. This hospital comprises around 2750 beds.
