    The easiest, simplest and fastest means of transportation in Madrid is the metro. The city has 12 metro lines and more than 200 metro stations. Metro, in Madrid, operates from 6.30 in the morning to 1.30 at night. The trains are available at frequent intervals and connect different parts of the city. Madrid has the second most extensive metro network in Europe, after London.
